The Hayes provides superb facilities for group activities. The two grand reception rooms with bay windows overlooking the terrace, valley and woodlands are suitable for formal and informal events for up to 40 people each. These rooms have been used for play rehearsals, music recitals, art exhibitions and meetings. The gracious Georgian drawing rooms, overlooking the terrace and the fountain garden, provide additional meeting and conference rooms for up to 15 people. A kitchen catering for up to 50 people is also available. Disabled access is possible to all ground floor rooms.

The grounds of the house provide ample opportunities for outside activities. There are extensive grassed areas suitable for camping and other activities, a stream, woodlands and even a clay pit. The terrace overlooking the valley provides a valuable outside space for informal meetings on summer days – or for taking tea.

    

The ballroom overlooks the terrace and has hosted exhibitions, opera, community meetings, play rehearsals and dinner parties
